W7/R1 ... Who’d have thought it!

Hi all, I meant to post this yesterday but family stuff kept me super busy....but, not too busy to stop me doing W7/R1! Oh yes so delighted with that one and I can honestly see I am making fitness progress as I ran the final 5 minutes up a hill that I would never have been able to do before AND got a faster final minute, even uphill! Am over the moon, particularly as my legs don’t feel like they’re about to drop off the next day!🦵

Also.. I got a new gadget... I’ve been talking (moaning) about my on-loan-to-me garmin never catching the gps which irritated me no end...so... I was very naughty and bought myself a reconditioned - 🍎 Watch Series 4. LOVE IT 😍!!! The Apple Watch 4 has all the activity stuff (technical term) and be my phone-on-my-wrist etc so win/win! 🙌🏻. I’m never going to be Action Woman so felt new garmin would be wasted on me tbh.

Got the watch synced, pressed the ONE button telling it I was running, got instant INSTANT GPS and a running digital commentary all the way, lovely 😊

So happy with that run and am actually looking forward (for the first time) to my run tomorrow morning W7/R2.

I actually think I’m in with a chance of completing 5K!!!

How is everyone else doing this weekend?

Good on ya. Running up hill, you masocist. My legs said no bloody way this AM so I lstened to them, and will be running W7R2 2moro AM. Been really down on myself all day for throwing in an extra rest day, but t'was needed. Haven't been lazy though, been sorting out seriously overgrown hedge this weekend and had a bit of a sea swim this afternoon. Legs feeling like they will cope 2moro.

Sounds like you're doing well and don't worry about the extra rest day as I often give myself 2 days rest if I've struggled with a run or I feel lacking in energy. It always makes a difference and I find I am then really ready for it. Good luck with your next run.
