Not something you see every day

I accompanied my friend Mel on her W1R2 this morning.

At the end of the second run we saw what looked like a large shaggy dog staring at us about 20 yards in front. No problem- the route is well used by dog walkers.

Then it turned sideways and ran across the road. A wild boar followed by four piglets!

We stood stock still. There is no point in trying to outrun a wild boar. Just hope it doesn’t feel threatened because they can kill.

In the end, no damage done. The boar was probably as surprised as we were.

Anyway, Mel’s run is in the bag and she’s raring to get our again. On a different route!

Oh yes. We’ll be dining out on that story for a while. Mel has returned home now and will continue C25K on a nice flat boar-free seafront.
