Still a long way off doing an actual Park Run. However, this was an enjoyable walk through the route I could be doing sometime in the future. And even if we are unable to join a group run for a while, there is no reason why I can't actually run the course by myself (as I'm sure many people are).
I have walked through this park many, many times with my dog - but never noticed that there is a permanent 5k route marked out. (I obviously need to improve my powers of observation).

Good to see you out scouting and planning ahead. I’m running in some places with parkrun, but not followed the actual route of one so far... maybe I should. Have been avoiding 9am on Saturday too, it’s going to seem strange to be amongst a couple of hundred people.
I’ve never been there... but I have a friend who runs that parkrun... lost count of how many times I’ve seen that course 🤣. I was planning a weekend of beer and that parkrun for this spring, but obviously that didn’t happen, we shall try for the autumn.
It’s beautiful there - but the park run does attract a lot of people! Between 500 - 800 in the nice weather. Still I’m hoping with all the practice I might be able to do my first one in a decent-ish time. Fingers crossed for the autumn.
