So I had to wait for a lull in the weather this morning as Storm whateverherfaceis was blowing a hooley in Cheltenham when I woke.
Prayed for no tech issues as the last two runs this week had not recorded accurately but all went to plan and Sanjeev behaved himself too!!
By the way, I picked Sanjeev because I'm a sucker for an accent π
Love it when my legs warm up now which is usually after the first or second interval run. Got to the last 3 minutes and actually knew I could have gone a bit longer which I'm hoping will be a godsend going into week 4 next week.
Observations from this week and certainly today -
My breathing and recovery has improved no end. It's really noticeable in comparison to week 1 when I was blowing like I was in labour!!
I have to emphasise that I'm doing C25K in conjunction with keto and down 3kg since starting. A slow and steady weight loss along with this programme and I'm hoping by Christmas I might have shredded some of this fat suit I'm currently wearing. π
If ever there was a time to do something amazing for myself then Covid and lockdown/furlough has given me that silver lining πͺπββοΈ
Have a great weekend everyone, I'm looking forward to 2 easy days before Monday's new challenge.
My fat suit is shocking π that's why I told myself for a long time that I couldn't do this.
I'm going slowly to minimize risk of injury and sticking to this to a T because I'm scared of doing myself a mischief. Just really having to listen to my body and hoping for a miracle ππ€
Fabulous!! Well done on both running and Keto x Iβm doing WW and itβs going ok so far... at least we are doing SOMETHING which is 100% better than nothing π€
Hi! Really enjoyed your post. I also ran W3R3 this morning. Couldn't get up this morning. Took a long time for my mind to convince my reluctant body to get down to our unpaved track. So at 9.45, not working today, already in 26 degree heat I started to shuffle my "fat suit" round for 5 minutes and I actually started to feel better. No great speeds, plenty of heavy breathing, a scarily red face and I finished. In all honesty I couldn't give the highest rating because I let my body choose. Thank you for your posts, they're so encouraging. Good luck everyone!
Thatβs the best way to do it.. just listen to your body... we are not in competition with anyone... except ourselves... and possibly our heads telling us we canβt do it when we know we can..π₯΄
Stick with it Burkey46, it gets easier, youβll find you get less and less out of breath as your fitness increases, thatβs what I found. Youβll also notice you start to tone up, especially your legs.
I think for a lot of people C25K is the only good thing to have come out of 2020. Youβre doing well keep up the good work ππββοΈ
I don't do strict keto as in I don't reduce my carbs to virtually non existent. I do probably more lazy keto which is still a significant reduction in carbs and enough to get me into ketosis as my testing strips Indicate but I've experimented before and have found a good balance.
I don't eat rice or pasta or the usual culprits anyway, it's only spuds I love π so I get most of my carbs from veg/plant sources and zero processed foods.
