I headed out a little later this morning, just before sunrise. On my warm up walk, I saw the colour of the sky, so walked up to the sluice to grab a photo!
After my faster run on Wednesday, I slowed it right down. My aim was to run in heart rate zones 2/3. I had planned on doing some Fartleks, but changed my mind.
I did speed up once, for a short segment on my route - I just couldnโt help it ๐. I was rewarded by a PB and moving up a place in the top 10 for women for that segment.
After my short burst of speed I had to walk to get my heart rate down again! The second half of my run was more in zone 3 than 2.
A very enjoyable run with the sun just coming up! I love these slow runs.

Thank you ๐. I have run very early since starting the programme, although Iโm already having to run a bit later due to the darker mornings! The sky this morning just before sunrise was fabulous,
I love my sunrise runs too, I tell myself it is my reward for making the effort. I am going to have the opposite to you though. I am going to have to start getting up earlier as we get into summer down here as it will just be too hot, my run this morning was 18 degrees with 87% humidity, still technically winter here so felt cool for me.
I have a number of different Canon DSLRs. Not suitable for taking on runs! Just wishful thinking when I saw the sky. Ran up to the sluice for foreground interest.
I've just the one body: Canon EOS 60D (plus lenses and flash). I do still have my Olympus OM20 film camera but that's been gathering dust for nearly 20 years.
I mainly use my 7D Mark II, but Iโve got a 6D full frame for night shots. Iโve got a film camera, too - itโs Canon so it can take the lenses Iโve already got.
