Haven't jogged for 2 months (pulled achilles and then my mum passed away) and it's been really hard to restart. Anyway, went out for a test run yesterday and managed 30min/3km. It was warm though - even at 4-5pm so I'll go later next time.

Just to say that it's easy to loose condition when it's hard to get off the couch...well done everyone who persists through whatever problems they're experiencing!

I'm so sorry for your loss, its hard to be motivated when going through such difficult events, so well done on running.

Well done for beating the gremlins. Choose your run days and stick to them 👌🏽

Thank you both - having regular days is a good method of maintaining momentum so I'll be back out tomorrow...

Good to see you, and I’m very sorry to hear about your mum. I haven’t run since March, first lockdown and shielding, during which my Achilles reared it’s ugly head. Also got some other stuff going on but hope to get back to it in the not too distant future.

Sounds like a pretty good come back run to me! Keep it up, I’m sure the bug won’t take long to bit again 👍😁

Thanks Wendy! Run! AS if! I was dragging my sorry arse along the sea front and being lapped by a one legged pensioner on a Zimmer frame! 2 months ago I had just reached 5km/55minutes so I'm going to have to re-build slowly again. Sorry to hear about your Achilles - hopefully you stopped running early and it should have had plenty of time to fix. "Other stuff..."! What a wonderful phrase! I hope you start running/posting again soon! TTFN!
