PHYSI....OH!

So, this morning I had my long awaited physio appointment re: my ankle which I twisted rather badly about 2 months ago. The verdict is that I probably fractured the ankle so I have to be very careful not to further damage the very small bones on the other side of my foot which could be very bad news. I am to do heel raises to strengthen my calf muscles to put the spring back in my step! The good news is I can run but to start with, only 10 minutes a day but I'm going to try every third day to start with. I can step it up (poor use of expression) after a couple of weeks. So, I am thinking this could actually be good for building my strength? Excited to be able to get out there again as my foot did puff up a bit last Thursday when I went for my first 10 minute rehab run and I thought that was a bad sign. I'll need to monitor the situation closely πŸ™ƒπŸ€—

Good news that you can run again! I'm sure that if you do the exercises and build up your running gently, you will be back to where you were in no time! I think it's sensible advice not to run for long at first.

So hard to resist once you're back out there, but resist I must!

Ooo ouch 59er, good to hear you’ve had some advice and that you can get going again, even if it is slowly. Definitely a good chance the exercises will build strength and that you’ll come out of this hump in the road all the stronger 🀞 take care πŸ€—
