After never running in my life I decided to give this a go due to the lockdown and me shielding. I've just graduated today and the feeling is amazing. I didn't manage a 5k in 30 minutes and don't know if I ever will but at the moment I don't care. Can anybody help me with the next steps and progressing even further without the app as I know I'm going to feel lost without it. Also do I still need to do the 5 minute warm up and cool downs. Also anybody who is struggling just believe in yourself if I can do it anybody can. This programme is amazing.

Congratulations! It's an amazing feeling isn't it?!
I'll never run 5k in 30 mins either. And that's fine.
I struggled a little after graduation because I didn't have a plan (and it was hot). I ended up deciding to do 9 30-minute runs, and once I had successfully done those consecutively without stopping short at all, I could move on. So then I started doing one shorter, one 30 min and one longer run. I managed to get to 5k today. Now I am going to consolidate that with two 30 minute runs and one 5k a week for about three weeks before I start bridging to 10k.
I started in March but have been sidelined a few times with various aches and pains. All much improved now I am doing proper stretching before and after a run. I am also trying not to push it too hard as I don't want to get injured and slide backwards.
And yes, I will always walk briskly at the beginning and end of a run - it warms the muscles up and makes the first few minutes of the run easier.
Again, congrats!!
Congratulations on your graduation ππ₯ and happy future running π
Many congratulations on your graduation, fellow runner.

If elite athletes with finely honed bodies need to warm up to avoid injury, then us mere mortals with less than perfect muscle tone and physique are well advised to follow suit.
Because you have graduated C25k please do not imagine that you are a superhero.......that comes later.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Many congratulations!!! ππ₯π₯ enjoy your takeaway π
