Struggling to get started again

Morning I'm on W4R3 and I'm really struggling to get motivated. I took a week off because I had a painful knee (not when running but when resting it was very uncomfortable) and I am also on holiday from work for the first time since Christmas. I planned to go out this morning but just can't get motivated. Thought Monday, daughter back at school and we're both back at work all be it from home. Do I start week 4 again or do I carry on from where I left off. I know once I get back to the routine of getting up at 6.45 I'll be fine x

I’d maybe do W4R3 again and then carry on from there. I had completed the program a month before lockdown and was consistently running 5k (never in 30 mins though). During lockdown I lost my mojo but restarted the whole program again in June and am now back to running for at least 30 mins 3 days a week. We all have ups & downs but I’d encourage you to get back into your routine and get out there again- I’m sure you can do it. Good luck x

Are you doing any preparation (dynamic stretches) or after run exercises (static stretches)? Are you keeping active on non-run days?

As to motivation, we can't knock on your door and shout, "Running shoes on!" That's got to come from you. On the other hand, by the end of week 4 you should have been seeing the benefits of doing this. You want that to continue, don't you?
