C2R2 - C25K+ Stepping Stone - HOT πŸ₯΅

Consolidation run πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ 5. Stepping Stone:

5 min warm up walk

10 mins 150BPM

15 mins 155BPM

5 mins 160BPM

5 mins cool down walk

Jeez Louise! It’s super hot out there! The weather threw me off my game today so I dropped my pace massively just so I could focus on completing the run.

Nothing major to report today - no new PR’s and not my best run.

I really struggled with the 150BPM and 155 BPM, more so than last time. It feels like I’m pushing myself to go super slow which I find uses up more of my gas (over the 25 minutes) to the point that I have hardly any left for the last 5 minutes at 160BPM (a pace I actually prefer!).

My calves and shins are burning up at the slower BPM - much more than when I just run!

Anywho, food for thought and stats for reference.

Well done on running in that heat !! πŸ₯΅

That is an achievement in itself ... braver than me ... I was out at 5.15am ... was warm then ... but hats off to you for that run! πŸ‘πŸ‘

If you can and did manage in that heat, when the cooler weather comes you’ll be well placed. πŸ‘

Thank you πŸ™πŸ»

I was a little disappointed at the stats but I’ve had a word with myself - it is still a massive achievement considering the heat!

I just need to find a comfortable relationship with 150/155BPM πŸ€”

Yea. Tough today. I found today that coming down the gears so to speak is a bit easier for me if I purposely take shorter steps. Don't know why but it seemed more controlled somehow?? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well done you - sounded hard work. Def food for thought. I have downloaded these podcasts but not quite ready for them yet! I did CR3 early this morning and that was humid enough, still got our there and did 30 mins so am happy :-)

Well done for running in this hot sticky weather, especially trying something outside your comfort zone. πŸ‘πŸ‘

I was melting at 6.30 this morning πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅

Thanks @Tinytears60 πŸ™πŸ»

No shandy yesterday but maybe a cheeky one later today - it is hump day after all! (Well, every day is hump day at the moment!)
