Painful knee

I’m new to this forum & c25k and have just finished week 3. However, inside right knee is killing me. Should I stop and rest for a bit or carry in?

Firstly, are you doing any stretches after the runs?

Secondly, have you considered having any gait analysis done?

Thirdly, have at least one extra rest day and do some non-running exercise on those days (eg. a gentle walk).

It's normal to get some knee discomfort when starting running from nothing, but you should never ever ignore pain.

Thank you. I have been stretching but may need to concentrate or strengthen quads more as may be susceptible to knee pain. Sports shops offering gait analysis were still affected by Covid when I started so I bought brooks adrenaline based on what I thought but I may try an online gait analysis. I think that you’re right in your advice to do something a little more gentle for a few days.

Thanks again

Totally normal in week 2 and 3. It’ll go. Take ibuprofen.
