A whole 25 mins of running!! How is that even possible after just 7 weeks. And I did it!! The first 10 mins is definitely the hardest but then I settle into the pace and I even managed a faster average pace today. It’s so great for mental positivity

Doesn’t it feel great! Well done 👍👏👏👏
First 10 minutes are difficult for me, too. That’s when the demons try to tell you that you can’t do it! But you can and you did! 👍
It’s amazing, I can’t believe it too! The first 10+ mins for me are always a struggle, settling in but somehow we’re getting there and improving...Well done!

Yes, why are the first 5-10 minutes so hard? I've heard something about toxins but not researched this
The Toxic Ten happens because it takes about that amount of time for your body to transition from a short term exercise strategy to a long term one, and while it's doing so there's an amount of energy debt that accumulates and needs to be paid back before things stabilise.
At the end of a run it also takes a while for the body to stop being in that state, hence the "burn" afterwards.
