Breathing!
Hi, well done for starting π¬π
You need to run slowly, then you shouldn't have a problem breathing .
You should be slow enough so you could speak full sentences without gasping for breath .
If not , it's too fast which is what most people try to do at first .
Slow it down until you feel it's too slow then slow it down even more π¬
I can definitely recommend breathing whilst running. π€ͺ
Itβll sort itself out when you get through 5-8 minute runs. Just breathe however you can for now ππ½
Welcome to the forum and well done
on getting started.

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
There is some advice on breathing in the guide, but basically you need to run at a pace at which you can hold a clear ungasping conversation.
Enjoy your journey.
Me, I try and match my breathing to my running and not the other way around.
Instead of trying to "catch my breath" when it gets a bit difficult lungs-wise, I slow my pace down as much as I need to do my lungs can "recover and refill" as it were
Hope this helps you, and wishing you many happy miles in your future
