I went for a late afternoon bike ride with my son-in-law and 2 of the grandkids last night, not far, 10.5 miles and definitely not fast.
I woke this morning and I was feeling tired, I got up, plodded downstairs and read a little bit of news, etc.
If I'm honest I didn't feel like running, so I got up, threw the running gear on and went for a run.
Using one of the week 9 runs I set off on the warm up walk, telling myself I'd run for a while and see how it felt.
There were no gremlins, I think it was just an off day.
The warm up finished and I set off at a slow jog. The rest of the run was 'different', not hard but not easy, my mind won't drift so the run was both quick and slow at the same time; seeming to drag as I plodded on but the 5 minute markers being called out by Laura coming quickly.
I thoroughly enjoyed the run, Garmin actually recorded everything correctly today, my 30 minute run on Monday comprised of around 113 steps but the graphs showed my HR, pace, etc, for the full 40 minutes (including walking).
Another ride tomorrow morning and then another lovely 30 minutes on Friday.
Happy running everyone!
