Week 2 - anyone else count their steps?

Only 5 runs in but really impressed by the difference between today and the nervousness before I started run 1.

Not sure if I like running. I love the feeling after a run and how I feel about what it is doing but the actual running bit...I find bit boring?!?. I play music when I run but I find myself running head down, counting everything - 1 min is 160 strides, 90 secs is 250 strides. God help me if this keeps up and I have to do 25 mins! I do hope this changes and I can enjoy the scenery and the music more.

Anyway, great community and some really helpful tips in the posts I've read.

Thank you.

I did that too until I got into the 1000’s and then started getting all angry because I forgot what number I was on. Started breaking it into 5 min chunks but really didn’t work out. My solution was to do a playlist timed exactly to walks and runs ... a 3 min song, a 5 min song etc. It takes some time but well worth the effort as far as I was concerned - counting drove me crazy

Good luck - be good to know if you come up with a different solution

Hiya Steve's. I did w2r2 this morning. I am not a natural runner, but I'm determined to finish this challenge. I listen to a podcast, usually something funny. Listening to other people chatting takes my mind off the running (until Jo interrupts!) and before the episode ends, I've finished!!🏃

Keep it up, try looking up and tell yourself you love running.

Good Luck 😁
