Well that's done! I thought I would try a new route, it started off brilliantly, I had Michael back on, no mapmyrun this time and was feeling like I might actually be enjoying running. At the 10 minute mark, I hit a very long hill that lasted for 5 minutes, it nearly killed me off, I finished it and vowed never to do that again!!

Oh no! That would be a shock to the system for sure! It's taken me three years to realise that hills are OK, but until recently I avoided them like the plague. Taking them really slowly helps, and the tiredness disappears amazingly quickly once it levels out again. Shame it put you off as it looks like a really pretty route 😍

Thanks, yes it was a stunning route, wow 3 years is a long time!! I did the 2nd run yesterday very slowly and again there was no enjoyment until the final 5 minutes when I had images of the smiling Japanese man, someone told me to watch slow Jogging on youtube! The final stretch was OK, so I will keep going as someone said in this forum you put in so much so far.
