Here we go again! Outside or treadmill?

Starting over! So after completing the program 2 years ago (though agonisingly only managed 4.99k), I then proceeded to fall out of the habit of running after a prolonged chest infection.

Many of my bad old habits returned, and I was 'runner' no more.

So back on it! This time however I am trying it on a treadmill, i have only ever run outside before (if you were to see me you would see i am not typically gym user shaped) but a lockdown investment was made and will now give it a go. Is there anything I need to watch out for treadmill running? I do seem to get a bit seasick when I step off it?

Good luck Rich, I'm sure you'll get back to it.

I think there are various posts on these forums recommending a 1% incline on treadmills. I've done the whole of C25K on a treadmill that had a random incline program that I quite enjoyed as it felt more natural, if you see what I mean.

I work on a ship, so running outside wasn't an option, but I'll be doing that when I get home next week.

As an enthusiastic and committed treadmill user of the past 5 years, I'd say to forget any incline advice... just isn't necessary.

But if it floats your boat ...

Welcome back... you know you can do this!

Boredom was my main issue with the treadmill! If the seasickness continues take a longer cooldown walk and bring yourself gradually from brisk walk to a stop over a couple of minutes.
