Hi everyone :)

I have now finished week two yesterday.

I am finding the burn in my lower legs but it isn't unpleasant.

I will start week three on Sunday.

I am really enjoying it so far, I hope I can make it to the end. Will update again soon on my progress!

:D

The burn is all part of your body getting ready for the next stage.

You will have naturally caused micro-injuries to the muscles during the run. Your body repairs those in the rest days, and you're stronger afterwards.

Just ensure you stretch, hydrate and have rest days. Follow the program and you will be fine 👍😁

Well done.

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.

Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.
