I tend to just record my entire distance, including beginning and end walks, but I made a note of the distance I ran today.
2.75km in 25 minutes. I know I shouldn't worry about it at this stage (W7R3) but I can't help wondering if I'll ever manage to increase that and get to the stage where I can run a 5k.
I guess I'll find out in future.

Only a small proportion of graduates from this forum who responded to a poll, managed 5k in 30 minutes by graduation healthunlocked.com/couchto5....
Graduation requirements are that you complete three thirty minute runs, regardless of distance.
The health benefits that you gain from running are nothing to do with being fast. According to this study womensrunning.competitor.co... slow runners live longer.
Get miles on your legs and speed will come.......unless you want to stay slow and live longer..........
This is often commented on and really, the programme should be called 'Couch to 30 minute run'! I believe that many, if not most people do not run a full 5k in 30 minutes by the end of Week 9. This is perfectly ok! In fact if you take a little time to look at Parkrun 5k times, you will see that many never run at this pace! So, I would say don't worry about distance or pace just yet, focus on running for the timed intervals. If you want to do 5ks then you can just gradually extend your runs once you have graduated - but no pressure to go faster!
You are doing just fine - good luck with Week 8! 👍🙂
