New trainers!!! 😬😬

Bought new ASICS running trainers this week and wore them for the first time today, they’re really comfortable so no problems there!! BUT now for the first time ever I have a slight nagging feeling in my left hamstring muscle which I’ve never had before!

Did my usual stretches, nothing’s changed I just wondered if anyone else has experienced this with new trainers and it’s to be expected or is it just me being a bit weird!!! ☺️ I graduated a few weeks back so am still relatively new to running! Any advice or feedback will be greatly appreciated! 👍

Hi, I usually need some time to adjust myself to any new pair of shoes, so I test them out carefully by walking around the house first and then a couple of times outdoors. In fact, thinking about it, even the new slippers I had required some time to get used to...

I got new shoes on Tuesday, ASICS GT2000 v8 and really noticed different aches and pains on my first run, only done one in them so far, so will see what tomorrow brings.... The new one have the right support for my feet whereas the old ones didn’t. I’ve put it down to having the correct foot posture now as it was wrong for the last 3 months since I started c25k.

I have GT2000’s and I had all sorts of niggles when I started running in them, a couple of hundred K down the line they are so comfy. I think they just change the way your feet hit the floor for the better, it just takes a while.

Aah yep I’m sure it’s down to posture etc and it’ll sort itself out. I wasn’t sure if it was just me being weird!!! 🤣
