Consolidation Run 2 - new route!

No issues with dithering about whether to run today 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️ .. up with the lark, gorgeous day ☀️ !

Decided to find another route, away from running on roads and rows of houses. Something more rural.

AC/DC in my ears 🎧 , off I go. Pace was good again, measured and breathing steady. Pace was faster than yesterday and completed the 5k a minute faster. But still felt very controlled.

Passed a fellow runner 🏃🏻‍♂️... twice .... going in the opposite direction ... a nod and good morning first time, a wave 👋 and keep going the second.time.

Strange how it feels so natural running 30 mins already.

Still have my bestie Michael in my ears counting me down .... might have a separation on the next run 🤔

Well done, great that you got up and wanted to run! That route looks good, too. It seems like you are embracing your consolidation runs in exactly the right way. Looking for different routes, thinking about improving and generally enjoying it. Fantastic!

Thanks Jools ... I think I’m in a groove with the consolidation period ... as I was with the C25K program ... which really helps mindset and motivation ... the route definitely helped, as I was looking around taking in sights and so I wasn’t focusing on familiar check points and therefore not my pace or speed ... am looking forward to Friday ... but will be the morning after the night before as am at my Dad’s 75th birthday party Thursday.... !! Determined not to waver ... but ....... 🤔

See how you feel! You don’t have to run on Friday. You’re a runner now. You can choose!
