So, the pain in the back of my legs is not going anywhere, I observed that wearing my running tights that are quite 'tight' sort of like compression tights, helps to reduce the pain, also heat.

The good news is that at least I know now that I shouldn't try to run again until this is over, the bad news is that this is new and I have no idea how to treat it or what to do and I'm not even sure this is an injury or what kind of injury is?

Sorry, I'm very new to this, to the point of not even being able to recognise the kind of pain I'm having.

It makes sense now that when I tried to run yesterday my hamstrings started to go very heavy and tight and I had to abandon after 2 minutes.

What did I do wrong? Shall I wait until the pain is gone completely? Shall I not do any exercise at all?

Also, ibuprofen helps and I rubbed some medicated pomade there.

Do you stretch after every run?

Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.

Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.

Do you drink a minimum of 2.5-3 litres of fluids each and every day, running or not?

Compression socks can ease calf pain, as can a foam roller.

Thanks for this. Funnily enough, I do stretch. I might not been doing it well. Anyway it might be a lil less serious than I thought it was because I gave it a full day of rest with 200mg of ibuprofen every 8 hrs, compression tights and some muscle pain relief cream and today I woke up without pain. I'm going to wait until my stomach issues are gone and start again where I left off. Perhaps the run before even. Thank you for the link, I will take a look now!

I'm just looking at the pictures and it poped a question. Shall I do that after the last 5 min walk or before?

Do the stretches straight after your cool down walk.

The hydration is crucial, not optional.

I drink quite a lot of water but I'd say that because that week I had quite a bit of stomach issues it might have not been the best idea to run.

I'm learning a lot with this program, to pace myself, to manage my energy and now to LISTEN to my body. All gain so far.
