I started this journey 9weeks ago after several weeks of lockdown where Iβd barely moved except to reach for more food π
I was out of breath going up stairs and everyday tasks were feeling like an effort - surely putting socks on shouldnβt be hard work π±
With several lethal health conditions running through my family I made the decision to change my ways for my children, for my husband and for ME. That bit felt uncomfortable at first, like I was being selfish somehow, taking time for myself. Luckily for me my family have been nothing but supportive.
I feel fitter than Iβve felt in 20yrs and Iβve even lost a few lbs.
I really am the classic example of βif I can do it, then anyone can!β
I can honestly say though that I know I would not have got this far if I hadnβt joined this forum.
Thank you to everyone who posts - the knowledge, inspiration and the laughs have kept me going even when I wasnβt sure I could.
The very best part is Iβve finally convinced my husband to give it a go (he was adamant when I started that running wasnβt for him so he started cycling instead)
I canβt wait til we can go for long weekend runs together- what better graduation gift π
βKeep on fighting til the end,
we are the champions,
we are the champions,
We are the champions of the world!β

Fantastic well done. It's such an amazing feeling isnt it, when you have been unfit for a while, and then after this programme, feel as if you have been reborn.

Have you been on a consolidation run yet? Or having a well earned rest, before carrying on anew?
Thanks, I have done a couple of consolidation runs. Was hoping to be running with my hubby but he came off his bike earlier this week and dislocated his shoulder π€¦π»ββοΈ
Iβll keep running solo til heβs recovered then my plan is to start the program again with him but slow jog the walking bits and improve my pace in the run bits. Not sure if itβs a good idea or not but weβll see π€·π»ββοΈπ
