Week 4 woes

Agggh!

Did run 1 of week 4 on Wednesday. I was rather worried about it, seeing the 5 minutes runs with precious little recovery walks...

But it was fine. I seemed less out of breath and sweaty than week 3.

Fast forward to today. Weather about the same temperature at dawn as Wednesday (26-ish) but no breeze and felt a big more humid.

My legs felt like they were filled with lead.

On the first 5 minute section (going uphill!) I had to walk for about 45 seconds in the middle - not my choice, my legs just did it. I hate that - feels like a fail.

The second half I managed but my leg muscles ached like buggery until lunch.

Maybe the weather? Maybe something else? Hope the next one is better!

Humid weather is always hard to run in. Maybe try going earlier if possible?

Well done for completing your run. Make sure you stay well hydrated the day before a run. Makes a big difference. 👍🏼

Thank you. The last run in week 4 was a lot easier this morning. Altered the route to avoid the incline that messed me up

Now worried about what is coming up in Week 5 😮🙂

You have already got up to 16 mins of running.

Week 5, is only a slight increase. Have faith in the programme. It is gradually building up your stamina, so you are strong enough to cope with the increase in week 5.

You've got this 👍🏼
