Ran for 16 minutes!

Week 4 run 1 done today, managed to keep running (well jogging) for all sessions. The 5 minute ones were hard. Not going to lie. But I did it! Haven’t ran for 16 minutes since I was at school. And that was 20 years ago 😬

The program is great. I love it. If you’re just starting and scared of this point, don’t be. It honestly does get easier xx

Great work - 5 mins does feel like a bit of a milestone!

Well... not many first timers clock onto the fact that they've run for 16 minutes in Week 4. Most focus and some fret on the length of the individual bits (1, 2, 3, 5 mins! etc).

Carry on seeing the bigger picture and you'll be absolutely fine.

I was worried about the 5 minute runs but something kicked in when I was doing them, just to not think about the time and focus on how I’m breathing and moving instead. Seems to have worked :D x

Well done. I, too didn't run for anything (but a ferry, plane or bus) since school... But over 40 years for me. I just completed week 4. It gets surprisingly easier. The middle run was hardest for me...hot and humid weather plus a devilish incline to do one of the 5 minute runs up.

You will amaze yourself by the end of this week. Go for it!
