Nearly 2 weeks ago I was out on my regular couch to 5k run and I fell, I fell onto my knee. After I week as my knee was hurting more and still swollen I went to the doctors who informed me I have sprained my knee and due to the swelling unable to tell if further damage has been caused. Told to do the usual R.I.C.E and no running for another 3 weeks 😔😤😡. Anyway being positive and thinking of when I can get back out running again any tips? I was at the end of week 8 run, should I go back a few weeks to ease myself back into it again.

Commiserations - It’s really tough having to opt out with an injury. I’m too much of a novice to offer advice but I had to stop for 5 weeks after a fall on my knee and I decided to repeat the last two weeks before I had to stop. That was week 4 and 5 for me so I wasn’t as advanced as you. It worked for me both mentally and physically to do it that way as I’d rather err on the side of caution than find I couldn’t manage when I resumed. I think you’ll know where to pick up when the time comes. Good Luck with your recovery!
