After graduating, a month or so ago now, I am still running every other day for 30minutes. I'm repeating week 9, run 3 each time but not able to run any faster and only manage approx 3k each time.
I did manage another 5k run but that took about 50minutes..
I would love to be able to run quicker or complete 5k more often but usually feel so heavy when running. Getting breathless doesn't help either.
I had also hoped that the weight would go down , some inches have gone but that's now plateaued.
In the meantime I'll carry on in the hope I get faster / able to run longer / loose weight and inches.

Steady does it Shrekswife, well done on still running every second day for around 30 minutes, I see it's the 30 minutes of week 9 that you are running to, 3K is fine, many runners complete their graduation run by running 3K as well. 😊 🏃🏾 🎓
Congratulations on running your first 5K in around 50 minutes as well, some take longer than that, especially at 5K parkruns, I am not sure what causes your heavy breathing, but if it gets bad I would advise you to see your doctor, as far as weight, running its its own won't make you lose weight, eat a healthy controlled diet with other exercises as well as running, that way you should lose some weight. 😊 🏃🏾
Well done for getting out there 👏👏👏 and you’ve reached the golden 5k 👏👏
Honestly- I can’t tell you how brilliant I think that is!... would be so easy post graduation to not but you get out there!
Deserve a medal 🏅
I relate to so much of your story!.. I’m running week 9 on my consolidations becos I need the structure and support of my coach.... I’m not particularly fast either but hey ho- we doing it for the girlies! #girlpower
My daughters wedding has been pushed back a year and we are similar ages (I’m a couple of years older)
Make sure you feel fab about yourself! You’re doing so well - I applaud you 👏😀
