I have to say it really doesn’t get any easier ! 🐌🐌
Managed to jog my usual route , with Jo of course ! Thinking of going cold turkey on Monday and see how I go without my crutch !
Anyone else done this ?

Just run...run for pure joy...because you can You are a runner... do it
Yep - I call it naked running. Enjoy!
I've never run with Jo or any of the others 😃 I didn't want to take my phone out, so my daughters did instead and told me when to run or walk and passed on useful tips!
I reckon just go for it, it's really quite liberating to just do your own thing once you've graduated, you don't always have to do 30 mins either of course 😉
I've downloaded the post C25k podcasts. Currently I'm doing 'stepping stone'. It's really nice to be guided and challenged 😉
I went on my first consolidation run with just my music playing. I was wanting to hit 5k so didnt want to know when half an hour had passed and get put off 😂
I set my tracking app to notify me at 5k and away I went. Was good not knowing times i was at or feeling under pressure!
May aswell give it a go 😊
Yep, don’t worry it’s fine without Jo, I still do my 5 min warm up walk, I remember where this took me too, I set my Fitbit to notify me when I hit 5k.....music on and off I go ! Trying to get under 30 mins, 31:14 is best so far. I’ve also used the interactive zombie running app, which is great fun...see my latest post 👍
Well done on post graduation run3. 😀👍. I love the programme but wish I could work our how to run without head phones. I can’t wait to run wIt bout anything in my ears. But now I think about it I think I may be a bit nervous that I won’t be able to do it! A few weeks to go before I have to make a decision so will be waiting to hear how you get on. In meantime however you do it go for it. And enjoy being a runner. 👏👏👏💪💪💪
I haven’t used the C25K programme since graduating. My first “naked” run felt so liberating and empowered me to trust myself and the skills I’d learned through the programme. Today, 6 weeks after graduating and after an enforced week with no running and a few quick 3k’s I smashed my PB for 5k with 30m 29s. At 56 and never having run before lockdown I’m over the moon with that.
You’ll be surprised how well you can do once the stabilisers comes off! I switched to listening to podcasts after graduating and find I don’t obsess about my phone/pace/distance, I just let my body use its new skills and it hasn’t let me down so far.
Happy running!
Yep. I went "naked" without help from Michael, just my music, from the very first consolidation run.
I have 6 runs under my belt now.
Go for it ! 👍
I haven’t used it at all since graduation, just me, my music and the road ahead 😊
I am running half-naked, I think 🤔 💭 music, and of course runkeeper‘s standard announcements 😉👀. Couldn’t quite run “au naturel” yet. 👙
You”be done better than me, not even got back out there yet! 😳😩
