Well, that’s my penultimate run done! 😊 Nice and dry, not too humid. As usual, had to get through the first 10 mins to settle down into it. Went by really quick after that! Picked up the pace a little just to see how I got on. Could feel the difference, definitely! As in, I managed my “sprint of joy” in the last 60secs, just! 😆 And suddenly it was all over! In 30 mins 48 secs, I covered 3.87km at an average pace of 7.56/km. An improvement from run 1, but..... was it as fun as run 1? Nope! Lesson learned, that can come naturally and much later!
One more to go! 😊🏃♀️🐢

Thank you! 😄 Aw, poor you! 🤣 Yeh, fast is not fun! Maybe fast-er in the futu-re, but at the moment more than happy just plodding along. 😊 Am not even going to put Strava on for my last run. Just going to enjoy every last moment at my own pace! 😊🏃♀️🐢
Well done! You are right too, don't worry about the pace too much at this point. Its really just about getting a number of 30 minute runs under your belt and your body acclimatising and building strength and stamina. The pace will come naturally. Well impressed you still got in a sprint in the last 60 seconds. I still can't, although there is still much celebrating, and air punching after every run is done! Well, well done! Have a good rest now ahead of your big graduation run. You have this!
Aw, thanks for your kind words! 😊 You sound like consolidation is suiting you very well too! 👏🏻 Are you running “naked” now or what are you listening to? 😊🏃♀️🐢
Oh gosh, I could never run naked! 😹 I need ALL the noise and motivating songs I can get, and frequently fast forward through tracks to find something even more upbeat when I hit a wall. My tastes are hugely eclectic, and the songs I listen to running, are quite different than the rest of the time. For running I have lots of punk (good for a screaming in the head, as well as out loud when needed), fast-beat girl-power stuff from Taylor Swift (Shake It Up is particularly good when you hit a rut, and I literally shake everything out) to Spice Girls, quite a lot of Lizzo for the same reasons. Lots of French stuff too as it makes me think more about the lyrics as I am singing along. I tried podcasts, but they don't work for me, for running at least. I did find they distracted me from the time a bit more (as I have worked out exactly how many songs get me to 30 minutes now 😹), but they did not give me the extra oomph I needed when I hit a wall.
😄Yep, I’m with you on that one! It’s music all the way for me too, for the same reason! 😊 Funny, I love old punk but have found 70s disco is what I’m craving when I run! 🤣I think the bpm suits my pace, plus I love a bit (lot!) of cheese generally. 😄I think I might spontaneously combust if I was listening to punk while running. It would all be too exciting! 😂 🤸♂️👍
Well done, 🎉🎉. Love the ‘sprint of joy’ at the end 😀😀 and great that you still had something left for it😊. Good luck for your graduation run 🍀. We’ll be waiting to cheer you over the finishing line 🥳
Thank you! 😊 Only just! 🤣 Wouldn’t recommend it. Press a button on Strava and start acting like a crazy person! 🤪 Having a few days off now and probably go at the weekend. Very exciting! 😊🏃♀️🐢
I need to do my last one over the next few days too, I’ve not been since Sunday was it. Have been moving house so it’s been hectic and not had chance. But equally don’t want to lose all what I’ve built up so don’t want to leave it too long 😊
Can’t believe you’ve just moved house and you’re still trying to fit in your runs! 🤪👏🏻😊 I take my hat off to you but you must be exhausted! Do you not have kids too? Remember you won’t lose it that quick, so please be kind to yourself and take your time. You want to enjoy your grand finale! 😊 x
Ha yeh, a toddler too. I haven’t done any running since Sunday, no time too. I’m too knackered to get out there at the moment. Hoping to get back on it next week. Fingers crossed, don’t want to lose all what I’ve worked on for the past three months 😊 good luck for your final run! Looking forward to seeing your post 💪🏻🏃♀️🥂
Issywhizz, you won’t lose it, I promise you. The gift of the C25K is it’s for a lifetime, not just a brief window of your time. Rest up, get settled in and when you know you’re ready to enjoy the full meaning of the moment, go for your graduation run and enjoy every second. You’ve earned it, let yourself enjoy that moment of glory and then remember that it’s just part one of your journey and there’s a whole new adventure for you waiting in part two. 💕😊🏃♀️🐢
Well done, wow just the one left, enjoy it and I’m sure you will have a big smile on your face all the way round, or at least for the rest of the day when you’ve finished. 😁
You've inspired me for my W9R2 when I finish work today!
I still feel nervous every time I go out, even though I managed my last run without dying at the end! For some strange reason I always think I won't make it, but then I surprise myself and do
Good luck on your final run - on Saturday?? I'll be doing the same - so will be cheering you on in my head as I run!!
Thank you so much! 😊 Go for it, I have no doubts you will smash it! 🙌 Thinking Sunday morning as am sidetracked till then. Good luck for Saturday too! Go us! 👍🤸♂️🐢
Happy Friday! 😊 Hope you managed to get your graduation run done today! 🤞Sorry, just seen your post now! Glad to hear you’ve enjoyed it more this time round. 👍 Happy running! 😊🏃♀️🐢
No it’s really not. 🤣 Just thought I’d give it a go to see how I got on and truly I didn’t enjoy it the same. So I will be running free of Strava on my graduation run and just enjoying the time for the absolute joy of just running, not measuring. 😊🏃♀️🐢
