I'm new to C25K and very new to this forum. I'm finding it really helpful for encouraging and motivation my knit problem is I'm finding it hard to navigate my way round this site. Is there an app for the phone (I currently access it by going via the couch to 5k app) and what is the benefit to having followers or following people.

Just a simple how to guide would be fab please πŸ™

Hi , Yes there is an app for the phone with the program and all the runs on it (no background music)

Or you can download the podcasts off the site which do (I believe) have background music .

And if you are following someone then you will be notified if they send a post and you can also direct message each other should you want .

Hope that helps ,πŸ™‚

Thank you, I dont have an iPhone so I think I'm limited, one of the administrators has kindly sent a link so I'm going to read that (a long with my teenage son who will hopefully offer me guidance)

I also don't have an iPhone but there is an android app on the play store .

It's the 'one you couch to 5k' app on the green background, same as the site logo .

That's the one I use

I have downloaded that already and that's how I track my runs but I seem to struggle navigating my way round this forum πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

It will be more me than it, I'm really not very good technically

Ahh ok that's good πŸ‘

I know what you mean about the site !it took me ages to find everything that was being mentioned to me .

As long as you have the app to track your runs the rest will come in time πŸ‘

Hi there! Welcome to the Health Unlocked Couch to 5K community!!

There is an iPhone app for using Health Unlocked, but not one for Android I'm afraid. This app has some annoying limitations, so I would suggest that you carry on using Health Unlocked in your browser. You can add it as an icon on the home screen of your phone by tapping on the three dots at the top of the screen and choosing 'Add to Home screen' - this process may well be different on your phone, so feel free to ask me more about this.

Below is a link to our guide to how to use the Health Unlocked website, and the Couch to 5K community. It is quite a detailed post, so I suggest you make yourself a cuppa and sit down for a read! I have had a quick check through it to make sure it is up to date, but if I've missed anything, of if something is unclear please do let me know!

xx

Thank you for replying I'll give that a read. I dont have an iPhone so I may be limited.

I think I just need the time to play around with it

I've enjoyed the positivity I've received in just the few days, going out for my second run tomorrow, I wanted to be able to keep up to speed with the technology side of this too

Thank you for your help

You don't need the HU app, if you add the web page to your home screen you can access the forum directly without having to go through the C25K app. Let me know if you need help!

You can have the C25K app on your Android phone open and also run a music app for example Amazon music and you will still hear all the C25K prompts. Or maybe BBC Sounds app and listen to the radio, the C25K just kicks in with the guidance and instructions over whatever music you are listening to. Experiment whilst going for a walk and see what works. I also run the app Map My Run (which is free and can be found on the Play Store) at the same time. It’s really quite clever.
