Fully intended to have a rest day today after yesterday's exertions. Didn't get the best night's sleep due to the heat, and got up feeling a bit sluggish, so fully intended to just have a 10 minute jog round the country park to clear my head.
I must have been on autopilot, when I got to the start of my usual route I must have fired up the C25K app on my phone, to be honest I don't remember much before Jo Whiley saying "3... 2... 1... Off you go!" So I thought, well, give it a go and if it doesn't work out, then I can have another shot at it later in the week, after all it's just between Jo and me, and she won't tell anyone!
28 minutes later (must be a film in there somewhere) I slowed down, and to say it was my 3rd day on the trot (no pun intended) I was pleasantly surprised by the stats on Strava, a scant 0.06km less than yesterday which considering a good portion of that was into a stiff breeze wasn't bad, and I considered yesterday probably my best run so far.
I now fully intend to have at least 2 days off before attempting W9 R1, to be frank I don't think I could have done that extra 2 minutes today, and off now for a shower, plate of scrambled eggs and mushrooms for breakfast, and caffeine.
Seriously considering changing my username to "The Accidental Runner" after this! 🤣
