Week 9 Run 2 - I am a runner!

I decided late last night that I would try this run after one day of rest, although I have been taking two or three days rest for the last few weeks. I really wanted to get through Week 9, but mostly I felt like I wanted to get up early and run (not something I ever remotely imagined me doing).

Yesterday I did a 5+ mile walk in the intense afternoon heat* and was exhausted, I was really slow, but in a way that motivated me. I thought to myself, if I did that, then I can do my 30 minute run. I was lucky I had a bit of a breeze so didn't get too hot, I was much hotter on Tuesday but today I wore the cropped leggings that have been in the drawer for 3 years (random M&S sale purchase).

* OK I wouldn't normally do this but I'd been trying to book a National Trust visit for 3 weeks and on this attempt I managed to get a slot on Weds pm. Who knew last Friday that it would be such a hot day?!

Big congratulations on your run! You're nearly there now. I actually got my pins out yday and wore running shorts.... shorts in public = another first for me!

Running's different to walking, I don't think people really look at you that closely! :)
