A very helpful reply to a previous question has raised the query of food intake during the c25k program (I unexpectedly struggled with one of the runs).
My aim with the program is primarily to get fitter (surprise, surprise) and also to increase my motivation to lose the 2 or 3kg's that have crept up on me!. I generally have a fairly healthy, and varied diet (portion size is my issue), but am being particularly mindful of what I am eating at the moment. I am (unfortunately) an endomorph, so am especially limiting my carb intake.
I suppose that I didn't think that the 'runs' were of sufficient magnitude that I might have to adjust my food intake ... any thoughts, guidance, opinions, advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Last year when I did C25K I was over 25 stone, I started eating 6 times a day, smaller meals, virtually carb free and I lost over 4 stone between May and Christmas.
I was very militant on what I eat, I logged everything and made sure it was mainly protein and fats with maybe one day a week where I'd have slightly more carbs.
Unless you are doing other things along side the running, like weight lifting, etc, there shouldn't be much need to increase the amount you eat, the object is to run at a calorific deficit.
Be warned though, you may not lose much weight if you only have a little to lose, you may lose the fat but you will be working muscles which may take over that weight as they grow.
