Hardest run yet!! Counting the minutes down from the start. Pure will power got me through but boy was it slow. When does this get enjoyable?

Will Power is a fantastic member of our coaching team! Great job getting it done today.

I found it got enjoyable after the plan really, especially when I was very relaxed and took it very easy out there... others love it from day one. Most days I run nice and relaxed with no pressures on myself... and when it gets tough I just call on Coach Will.

Have a wonderful graduation run

I’ve hit a wall! Scheduled to to W9R2 yesterday morning, was way too wet for me (not run in pouring rain before). Left out early evening to run and failed at 15 minutes... couldn’t do it (so I told myself). Now I’m freaked! I’m psyching myself up for this morning.... getting ready now... but got a nagging doubt in my head 🥴 eek!

You CAN do it. It's all in our heads at this stage.

Congratulations for your grit and determination :)

Your final run will be brilliant, take it slow , it’s not a race . When you arrive at your thirty minutes target , you will be ecstatic with relief and maybe a little emotional too ! Punch the air and shout out YES - I have done it .

I actually did a little dance , unbeknown to me my neighbour was watching ! Laugh

Seriously , the magic of running does happen . Just remember to keep it slow and steady . You will find over the week ahead your fitness and stamina will improve .

Yes , you will have good runs and be prepared for crappy bad days too. Or , let’s go home days!

A marathon runner told me that!

Sometimes I take two rest days off in between my runs🏃‍♀️. It depends how energetic I feel. I prefer early mornings or late evenings only because I struggle less in cooler temperatures and love running in the rain .I really have found this beneficial.

Just think back to W1R1 !

I look forward to reading your next post , I know it will be a happy one :) 🐾

Great work Sue, your determination will pull you through. As you continue through your remaining run and consolidation runs it will feel easier, but you will still get that satisfied feeling on completion. I still do 2 years on. You will still have the odd "bad day" when you will have to dig deep and count the time down, but they become fewer!

I graduated a couple of weeks ago. Since then I haven’t been able to run the 30 mins!! What is that about. I’ve met people on my run, my chest has been so tight, my hip has been hurting. So I go to a fast walk until I feel better and start again. No one is judging me. I know I will get there again when hay fever isnt so high - and I’m still doing a damn sight more than I was 10 weeks ago. Moral of story - do what’s right for you! Keep going x
