I know alot of people say it but I cannot believe I can now run for 30mins comfortably and just to top it off be able to cover over 5k! A friend, who is a runner, suggested I do this app to get me going and I must admit I was sceptical but I knew once I had completed week 4 (3 times π) that I was going to be able to do this.
Its obvious that running is very much about mind fitness as well as physical. This was a big reason for me wanting to get into running. I had read about the benefits, mentally, that running can have. I can see why. I haven't felt so sure of myself since I was a cocky 18 year old out in my short dresses at a club ππ
Even though was raining great big dollops I still found myself going out the door to do my run......and I loved it. My final run took me just over 5.8km. I did another new route (I find new routes help me) and found I could just keep going. Of course when the fanfare happened at the end of my final run (in my head of course lol) I had to have a little victory dance (Tori Amos Professional Widow was playing)
The feeling is a real high and I cannot wait to continue my journey in running.
This forum has been a huge inspiration and help. The advice has always been helpful and kind, almost like a big hug wrapped in a warm blanket π In a world that seems to love tearing each other down its lovely to come on here and have faith restored in human nature, you lovely people ππ
Anyway, I knew a ramble would be coming for my 'final run post' but have a wonderful day everyone and thank you for the support πππββοΈπΎ

The bubbles are on ice lol for a later virtual celebration! I am not known for sticking to things in my family π
Maybe this is a new start for that too.
Thank you....it was a total high. The sort that makes me take the dog for a walk straight after, even though I look like a beetroot, with an apple in my hand just to solidify my fitness guru status ππ€£ hmmm...maybe a while to go before that, but still...onwards to the next challenge, consolidation and beyond ππββοΈπ
I did my first run post graduation in the back of beyond and it was surprisingly hard! I need to settle into life after c25k lol! I love the fist punch moments so little goals are the way foreword I think π€£
