Road running much harder than treadmill

I’ve just completed my first road run as I’ve done the program on the treadmill up to now. I repeated W5R1 as I knew it would be harder and it was but I managed it. Yay! Go me! My thigh muscles and calves ached more and my breathing was heavier. It felt good though to have the confidence to run outside and to have completed the run. I’m going to repeat the run again next time before moving onto W5R2 next week. I need to consolidate and build my muscles before trying to increase distance I think. Progress can be measured in many different ways 😊

You're doing fine. Your body is more ready than you think. Consolidate after Week 9. Trust me :-)

I'd crack on if I were you. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
