On Monday I ran up a steepish hill for the first time and for a few days afterwards my ankle was really swollen ( hypermobile problem ). I rested it almost completely and the swelling and pain went completely. Today I ventured out in the fog a teeny bit concerned that since starting the C25K I have always managed alternate days to run and today I was running with a bigger gap. I decided I would aim for 30 mins but stop at any point if I needed to. I was so pleased to manage 31 mins no stopping and with a couple of tiny twinges in my knee and bizzarely the pace was the quickest yet even though I was being very careful and felt slower. Maybe there's a bit of psychology at play here when you remove the self expectations and pressure you may go further!

Well done. Iβve noticed Iβve also lost my sense of speed and sometimes think Iβve been really slow but in fact have not. Iβve generally gone faster each time, since week 8, with only a couple of slower ones, although at some point Iβll presumably stop going quicker each time. Iβve not been able to run this weekend for various reasons having done alternate days since starting and Iβm interested to see how I get on on Monday too. Onwards and upwards
