Found it a bit harder today and felt it more in my legs but still managed fine. Been running on grass first two times but where I usually run had puddles everywhere so had to change my route. Not sure pavements and having to stop to cross roads helped plus I was fractionally faster but it's all a learning experience. Anyway wk 1 was a success so look out wk 2 I'm coming for you!!!

Well done for getting off to a good start. Week 2 is a little extra challenge, but by the end you will be ready to move on.
I always prefer running on grass, as it's gentler on the bones and joints, even if perhaps a bit slower. I'm further on now, and our target is stamina, not speed, so I have never managed to jog so slowly as I am now doing; speed can wait till I have finished the course. Having a 2 day break between weeks is great extra motivation, so I shall be really looking forward to week 7 on Monday.
Enjoy your running, and the small steady gains.
I prefer the grass as well even just walking on it feels better on my legs. I didn't feel like I was going any quicker and definitely wasn't trying to I think it was just the switch to pavements. My plan is to run Monday, Wednesay and Friday which is fine just now but maybe as the course continues I'll need an extra day.
Good luck with week 7.
