After finishing couch to 5k on Friday, I had the weekend off and have just done my 1st consolidation run. It was the best run I’ve done ☺️
I decided to ditch my usual canal route and do a couple of loops of the park where the park run is held. The first time I didn’t have Jo in my ear telling me I had 5 minutes left and instead I just zoned out with my music and everything going on around me. Glanced down at my watch at 30:04 and realised I’d finished 😂 Part of me really wanted to carry on and see if I could make it back home but after reading so many posts on here about taking your time, I decided to stop and do my 5 minute cool down walk and just grin about how good I felt and how much I loved it 😬
This is the first time I’ve said this, but I’m looking forward to my next run now. It’s amazing how much my mindset and goals have changed in the last 9 weeks. I can’t recommend this couch to 5k enough

Congratulations sounds like you're doing really well and have got the running bug!
I graduated just over a week ago and went for my first consolidation run yesterday. The first 5-10 minutes were the best I have felt running, but I got carried away with that and by 15 minutes in I was hating running but struggled through to the 30 minutes. It didn't help I wore different trainers which started to rub :(. Fingers crossed the next one is better!
Good luck for your next consolidation run, I had that problem with trainers rubbing around week 5 and had to get a new pair. Fingers crossed it doesn’t hinder your runs
