I didn't feel like doing this run before work so I went out as soon as I got home. I found it really tough as there were lots of people around and I nearly got tripped over on a couple of occasions by dogs off lead. Now I know why I go for a run in the morning!!
Somehow I managed to complete the run and managed to get further than normal. Looking forward to my next run.
Does anyone recommend any specific exercises for hips and groins? I am doing dynamic stretches prior to running and stretching really well on my return. I also practice yoga at least twice a week, but I am starting to get a niggle in my left hip and groin area. I really think I need straightening up by my chiropractor as I am overdue for an appointment and am looking forward to them reopening. I'm also hoping to get a gait analysis done in the next few weeks.
Diolch. Thank you very much.
Good luck to everyone running later.

Llongyfarchiadau! Although not so much about the niggly hip/groin. I'll let some of those better qualified than me to comment/suggest helpful tips on that. What I can comment on is gait analysis. I badly broke my ankle a few years back (three surgeries and two years of casts) so there is absolutely no way I could have even begun this programme without gait analysis and subsequently specially-fit trainers. It has made the world of difference to me. What I have seen, just in passing, is that some places are now offering gait analysis on-line. I don't know how quite that would work, and hope someone else more helpful can chime in, but may be worth googling. However, depending on where you are based (Cymru?), there are sports shops/clinics now re-opening, or your chiropractor may be able to offer this?
