Morning all,

I’m 24 hours late in my report, but yesterday morning I completed run 2. I’d watched the Japanese Slow Running video, and I must admit it did make a big difference. So much so, I was actually faster on the second half as I was the 1st as I had to walk past the car and back to finish the 5 minute cool down!

I’m a big lad, mostly up top, I’ve always had strong legs, and I can feel them getting stronger.

I’ve been walking a lot prior to starting the programme and on rest days. So yesterday afternoon I was invited to go see my daughter who I haven’t been able to see for a few months, we went for a quite a strenuous walk with some long steep hills, 6 miles worth, thankfully it was mostly uphill on the way out and downhill back!

According to my watch I burnt 1400 calories yesterday! Managed to avoid the temptation to eat them back! I’m doing as little as possible today!

We have been invited to a see some friends for a socially distanced Chinese next weekend, so I’m going to try and be really good this week, save some calories so I can have a small plate of Chinese (not the mounds I would have had previously!) and a few beers or glasses of wine. I’ll be due to have done W2 R2 that day, plus I’m off on another walk, so it’s something to reward me!

See you at the finish line! (Photo from our walk!)

Well done Sedge . And now wonder you're enjoying your walking and running so much - I am so jealous of your rolling countryside.

Well done.

Don't pay too much attention to the calories burned as indicated by your watch.

I am more concerned by the fact that you seem to have lost a year since your last post.....

Haha! I’m like Benjamin Button! I may have forgotten how old I am! I’m 42 in August!
