A single layer on top. Shorts down below if you're comfortable with that.

Accessories? Your house keys.

And no, you don't need water with you. Just make sure you're hydrated before going out - have a glass/cup of something at least 1 hour beforehand.

I went on my first run today. I was aiming to be out the door for 6:50, running by 7 but was 30 mins late! I found that by 8am the sun was really starting to make an appearance and it was getting quite warm. Are you able to do an early morning run?

Yes, if I set an alarm of course

Definitely try and get out before it gets warm. I completely understand that being woken up by an alarm is horrific, but once you're up, you're up!

Yes 100% I’m just not sure what to wear/order as I’m new to this and leggings isn’t going well for me at the moment

Have you tried running in shorts? If you feel comfortable running in shorts, they will definitely help you keep cool.

I mostly own Jean shorts. I ordered some cycling shorts as they’re longer so my legs aren’t as likely to rub and become soar but they were way to big and see through

Decathlon and Mountain Warehouse are good for inexpensive running kit - just a quick search will give you an idea what to wear. For me the essential list is comfy, supportive trainers, light weight running socks (your feet will get HOT), a sports bra and a phone belt. I like capri length leggings at this time of year, and any old loose T shirt.

can I ask how comes leggings aren't going well - too hot? Until you find something better, does rolling them up help at all?

Definitely seconding the suncream reminder!

I can heartily recommend Body Glide if anything is rubbing. It’s quite expensive but lasts ages and well worth it.
