Chuffed doesn't do it justice! I stopped my watch at 5Km and 29min 35 seconds. Then jogged on the last few seconds.

So pleased.

This programme is brilliant. First time running for over 30 years (I'm 56) and I really couldn't see how I'd get to 30 mins when I started 9 weeks ago.

I had to push very hard to get over the 5Km. I'll be taking it a bit easier on the next two runs. I want to start enjoying it a bit more now so I'm more likely to continue.

I've got at least two other people into it as well, so hopefully some more folk improving their fitness.

Has to be a positive to this COVID-19 lockdown!

Picture is taking a well earned sit down in the garden with a large glass of water!

Well done! I think you deserve a glass of wine 🍷 with your water! Is it too early? 😂

What a jolly good idea! But it'll have to wait until tonight.... my wife now want to go on a bike ride.. so off out on that after lunch now! I must be mad.

The cycling is great for the legs! I find it pulls out any little niggles I miss in the post run stretches! Enjoy! You’ll have definitely earned that wine! 🍷

Just to "level the playing field". I haven't run for 30 years, but I'm a regular hill walker on day walks and backpacking with tent etc. and a keen cyclist. So my aerobic fitness was pretty reasonable coming into this. Just the running muscles and joints that needed work.

I do not think I'd have got anywhere near 5Km in 30 mins without that base to work from.

Part of the reason for starting this was to keep my fitness for the hill walking while I couldn't do it.

So I'm maybe a bit atypical for the programme.

It was blinkin' hard to do it today though!

Wow!! Brilliant!! That’s a fantastic time😀😀 I took 36 minutes to do the 5k this morning- and I felt amazing!! I also cycle which helps. My ultimate aim is to do the 5k in 32 mins as mr Google reckons that for our age group- 55 to 60- the average man takes 37 minutes and average woman 44 mins. Not that I am competitive or anything 😂😂😂
