Taking everyday as it comes...

Yesterday was the first time in two weeks I ran. (Home life during lockdown has drastically changed with mum being diagnosed with cancer. So I’ve been taking day by day.)

I was on w8r3, I wasn’t sure if I should just carry on or try pacing myself back into it; I chose the later. I managed a nice gentle run for 20 mins, until my legs and my mind were exhausted, how I have missed the feeling of a good run!

I think I need a few more runs of just going out and getting back into it before I jump back into c25k. Hopefully start week 8 again, that’s my plan. What do you think?

I was really looking forward to graduating, however during these unprecedented times I am grateful for the outdoors. I’m determined to make to run and to take everyday as it comes.

Sounds like a good plan, there is no rush and unpressured running is a great stressbuster.

Best wishes.

I’m really sorry to hear about your mum!

I think it’s great that you are getting back out there and would say listen to your body and start Week 8 at whatever point you think is best when you’re ready to.

I’ve had a couple of weeks off due to an injured knee and have been wondering myself where to start back (not quite ready yet though) and have been thinking maybe w6r1 to test it out followed by the rest of week 6 and if all is well then one each of 7 and 8 before starting Week 9 from scratch again
