Suddenly stopped two weeks ago after W6r2...can’t find the mojo to start again. How do I get back on the bike?

This probably depends on what is holding you back! If you’re worried about being able to complete week 6 run 3 and are putting it off for fear of failure, maybe do run 2 again and remind yourself that loads of people on here made it from run 2 to run 3, and if they didn’t do it first time many more will have managed the second time, so you CAN do it and we’re all in this boat of doing a new and hard thing together, and we’ve all had times we’ve struggled, so it’s normal.

If you’re just finding you’re getting distracted by other things in your life then you could take some time to reflect on why you started, what your goals were, and remind yourself that they’re still important to you and that you really do want to stay focused.

If you’re not doing it because you’re just flat not enjoying running then maybe you should research other cardio workouts you’d like more! There are lots of dance fitness videos online and maybe they’d suit you better? Or perhaps cycling?

Either way I hope you find a way to get workouts back into your schedule. It’ll be so worth the health and mood benefits in the long run.

Thanks for your thoughts! Yes definitely feeling very distracted at the mo. My issue is always inertia-can’t seem to take that first step in anything! I need to stop overthinking maybe!

I completely relate! I think then probably just focus on getting yourself out the door and don’t think about what comes next. Once you’ve stepped outside you’re not going to turn back, so that’s the only job you need to focus on. Also I find setting my workout clothes out in one place the day before so that’s one less thing to think about at the time really helps.

Hi, just done W6 r2. Really had to mentally push myself out of the door this morning! Was dreading it, it was tough but, now I've done it, the big one in 2 days time will be difficult. Still, got so far! I feel I have more incentive now that I'm beyond half way. I'll give it a go. I have the added benefit of the cardio lowering my blood pressure, and that's great! Good luck with whatever you choose to do!
