C25K Week8 Run 1

Trying this run for first time tonight. Had to come back home literally 2 minutes in due to sudden need for a wee LOL.

Then tried the rest of it and felt like I was absolutely dying, I think the break really broke my rhythm and I just couldn’t get into it at all.

Gave up at halfway and came home feeling utterly dejected. I’ve done it at an earlier time than usual so it’s warmer which may be a factor.

Ladies, any tips for running when it’s that time? Due on v soon and so bloated which I don’t think helped.

Has anyone ever given up on a run midway through?

I’ve never had to in the programme and I feel totally rubbish about it

Hey! I’m currently waiting to go for a run but won’t go until I’ve nipped to the loo so I know your pain 😂 been caught short too many tines and it’s really hard to concentrate on your run when you’re desperate!

It’s about 4 weeks now since I graduated and learnt since doing longer runs that we just need to accept sometimes that they’re not all going to feel the same - within the same week I have what I feel is a terrible run, and then the next run I feel like I could keep going for ages, so don’t beat yourself up and definitely don’t let it put you off! You’re doing so well to get to this point.

As for time of the month, I have felt fine but just been even more hyper aware to make sure I feel well hydrated and rested - and if your body is telling you to take it easier, just listen to it and try again another day. It’s not a failure, just another step towards your goal!
