Wk3 r3 done but it was the toughest one yet.

It was so windy 50mph and my last 2 runs in were into the wind felt like I was standing still at one point.

My last 3 minute run my legs were so heavy- I nearly had to stop but didn’t-I’m proud of myself for not stopping but I’m really nervous about stepping up to 5mins in wk4 I’m actually scared and I’m not looking forward to it- just feel like there is no way I will be able to run for that long???

Can anyone help who felt the same?? πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 3, yes it was hard in that gale, onwards and upwards to week 4

You can totally do it. I remember every run thinking I won’t be able to do the next one.. but I did! Just go really slowly and keep pushing on. Have some good music or podcast on to take your mind of the β€œrunning”. Good luck!! ☺️

Movegroove I hear you!

5 minutes was my Everest and when I told people I can run for 5 mins without stopping I honestly don’t think I have ever been as proud of anything. I’m up to 25 mins now and Yes i still get a buzz thinking about it, but nothing compares to how I felt when I completed that 5 minutes. My tips ....

1) remember it’s no walk in the park . It’s ok to find it challenging because it is supposed to be one. That’s where the progress happens.

2) focus on what you can control . Have a good dinner the night before to fuel yourself and stay hydrated

3) I like a distraction . If you listen to music find a song or two you will Love to listen to ( my fave running song is iggy pop wild one ) if not -play a game. Name as many capital cities , or list countries from a-z

4) take it slow . A slow (slooooooow) jog is better than stopping.

Look at how well you have done so far! You faced the elements and won!

I look forward to hearing how you get on

Congratulations! I did w3r3 yesterday into that wind too and not looking forward to w4 either. My daughter reminded me of how far I've come so far so it's the same for you. With your fitness behind you, you'll rock w4 πŸ‘
