It all slotted together this morning. I ran with no music or podcasts just thoughts about this amazing new freedom I have and how I got from couch to 5k (well not 5 k but whoβs counting π)
Donβt worry about pace - I found my pace and learnt to love the inner snail. Strava is way to competitive for me.
A running buddy is such a huge support - Blackshoe thatβs you up north and Iβm on the finishing line on Saturday cheering you across. You are fab!!!
Donβt run in heat (!) π°
If you drink loads of water you really wonβt need to stop for a loo break en route
I changed shape. I only lost 1 kg but my jeans are looser (1kg despite the snickers treat! π)
London pavements donβt go up or down, they slope sideways. Interesting. Oh and fix the loose paving stones (that week did hurt)
Everyone can do this and Iβve passed all kinds of runners - slow, young, fast, old. Its just a personal thing
Knees hurt. Lots of strengthening and they got stronger. Those ice on knee days seem ages ago
This forum is essential - its kept me going. Thank you so much βΊοΈ
No idea what I do next but it will involve running and snickers !!!

Well I would be if my silly knee would only heal! Think Iβll have to go back a bit when I restart which is frustrating but Iβll get there eventually
