Just a quick question, do any of you run with earbuds? Want to give them a try but worried I’ll lose one!!

Currently using Marshall over the earphone which are great just not good in the heat.

Aftershokz bone conductors, excellent, you get your tunes and can hear what’s going on around you, traffic etc., I’ve got wired ones as I still use iPods.....

Hope you find something that suits

A couple of people have mentioned bone conductors in other posts... as a glasses wearer would they sit comfortably do you think?

I use Aftershokz and have had no problems using them with my glasses. They are really secure, and I forget that I've got them on.

Thank you I think I am going to head this way. Thank you everyone for your recomendations

Just to add, I wear glasses too, and the aftershokz are just fine, you can’t actually feel them to be honest......bone conductors are a revelation, I first tried them in a shop and it was just amazing that I could hold a conversation with the shop assistant and hear the music and everything else that was going on around me....

Love ‘em!

I bought aftershocks based on the recommendations on this board, and I am definitely loving them. They do sound pretty darn good, I can hear cars. It’s all good.

But they are darn expensive. I bet you could get away with a pair of Koss KSC75’s, or even the PortaPro’s. They are very light and I hardly feel or notice them when wearing.

Those are like old school foam covered little headphones that rest over your ears so outside sounds CAN get through.

The Porta pros have a headband, but I’m really loving the KSC 75’s. these are designed without the headband And they are incredibly light. And they’re $13 !

It seems these are actually a bit famous in the audio world. They’ve been around a long time. They sound very good. As good or maybe a bit better than earbuds. Apparently, from from my research, wired technology always sounds better than Bluetooth.

They ARE wired of course so that is a bit of an issue. I thought about going out with them and stick my phone in an arm band.

I'm a newbie to C2K and I'm using my wired Bose earphones. They've not dropped out. I can hear the app over the music and whether a tractor is coming or not so they work for me. Might have to rethink if I can get further into the programme

Yes they do - I put on the AfterShokz first, then my glasses or sunglasses- no problem at all. 😄

I run with Jabra elite sport earbuds, these fit really securely in your ear, certainly no chance they can fall out.

I run with my samsung ear buds. Very secure and haven't lost one yet! And no sudden ripping of it out of my ear by accidentally hitting the wire. Loving wireless!!

Galaxy Buds ?

In sunny weather I completely love my Bose frames... they keep the ears free and work a bit like bone conductor headphones but with a sunglass element. They are annoyingly expensive and you look a bit stupid wearing them on dull/rainy days....

These aren’t polarized.

Although I’ve heard you can replace the lenses.

Any Thoughts?

I wear my AirPods and no dramas around losing one! Feels secure, and as FloofyBoots says, there’s a joy of not ripping one of your ear by hitting the wire. Happy running!

hiya I use my air pods with no issues at all! I had the same worry at the start but the freedom of movement they give you is great! Enjoy :)

I bought a relatively cheap pair of Muzili wireless sports headphones from Amazon and they have been perfect for running - they stay in place during my runs and hold enough charge for weeks of running. I really like the ear hooks which make them feel extra secure while running.

I tried ear buds but they kept falling out so now I wear a headband with built in speakers. Really works well (& keeps my hair out of my face - which may be less of a prob after lockdown when I can finally get to my hairdresser!)

Aftershokz 100% cannot fall off , comfy with glasses or sunglasses , loud enough but still can hear surrounding noises, cars etc , also good on cycling expeditions

Ho, i use bose in ear buds and as they have 3 different sizes of silicone eartips, once you’ve worked out what size you need they definitely stay in. I’m on wk8run2 so running all the time and they are fine. Try bose website and choose factory prices.... they’ll be considerably cheaper. You just don’t get to choose the colour ! Good luck

Hi, I run with my Galaxy Buds and I have never had one fall out. Just make sure you put the right size rubbers on so that they fit secure and they will be fine.

I use air pods, never fallen out and can still hear the traffic if you need to!

Yes. Swear by them. I have small ears so the ones on a strap fell off but the buds work great for me.

I use air pods and have not had a problem with them, despite having a daith piercing in one ear!👂

I have been using ear buds for a couple of years - both on the road and in the gym. They are magic, no cords and surprised how stable they are in my ears. They never fall out unless I bump them - which is rare. And I don't even have the $200 Apple airpods just a clone version (which look very similar) I found on ebay which cost under $50. They connect to my phone as soon as I take them out of their charging case and the sound quality is okay. You can even find cheaper ones on ebay if you just want to experiment.

Partner has the wireless ones and they have never jumped out once. I tried them once any they were great.

I however use normal wire ones. Clipped together under my chin. Wires down through the front of my T-shirt and into my bumbag/runners belt pouch.
