This morning I raised a couple of hares on my morning run (W6R2) and it made me smile and think of something my 14yo son said to me yesterday ...
So, to cut a long story short, said son and I (a not totally un-fit 50 something) started C25K together - yes! I challenged him to get him off of his gaming couch π - and slowly but surely I have plodded ( tortoise-like) through the weeks with dear son running rings around me. Until W5 π. Whilst I rose to the challenge and ran ( slowly but confidently) into W6, son floundered, ran out of puff and failed to complete W5R2 (I have to confess to a sneaky snigger at that point). Being a supportive mum π , I urged him to repeat the runs in W5, but this time to do it SLOWLY. So yesterday, he begrudgingly completed W5R2 doing what he dismissively calls "the granny shuffle" π€π!
Well, I don't know about you, but this tortoise is very proud of her granny shuffle ( and I am nowhere near being a granny)! I am relishing the thought of W6R3 on Friday, and I bet I know which of us will complete the challenge first ππ.
